Press photos and album covers for musicians, and photographs that do artists’ work justice.

I’ve photographed bands and designed their covers for years, from music legends to a Pink Floyd tribute that rebuilt Ummagumma one set-up at a time. It’s some of my favourite work.

Let’s face it, most creative people are brilliant at what they make and hopeless at photographing it, or themselves. That’s where I come in.

A cover has to sound like the record before anyone presses play. Each one starts with the music, then the photograph, then the type.

Your work deserves better than a phone photo under gallery lights. I photograph paintings, prints, artists’ books and installations for exhibitions, catalogues, grant applications and sales, and photograph artists themselves for bios, press and openings.

What I don’t do: I’m not a manager, a publicist or a social media manager. I make the pictures and the artwork; you and your team run the release.

How it works

Every project starts with a conversation: what you’re releasing or showing, when, and what it needs to feel like. There are no packages or price lists, because no two records are the same.

I’m based in Canberra and happy to travel for the right shoot or gig. Covers and design work just as well from anywhere.
